It also lets you connect a wired NC detector from another manufacturer.

DoorProtect or DoorProtect Plus?

The standard DoorProtect is a magnetic contact that detects openings. The Plus adds a shock sensor and tilt detection – ideal for garage doors, tilt windows and places where you want to catch break-in attempts early. It mounts without cables on virtually any door or window, including metal.

How far from the hub does it work?

Up to 1200 m in open field. Indoors the range is shorter because of walls and floors; in larger buildings an Ajax ReX range extender reaches more distant doors and windows.

How long does the battery last?

The pre-installed battery lasts up to 5–7 years depending on use and model, and the Ajax app warns you well in advance when it runs low.

Can I mount it on a window?

Yes. Thanks to the two included magnets (up to 1 cm and up to 2 cm) it also fits narrow window frames.
