The Dahua IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE is a 4K Ultra HD 8-megapixel eyeball camera with ePOE, IR night vision, a built-in microphone, an SD card slot, and 120dB WDR for indoor and outdoor use. The camera features ePOE, allowing for significantly longer network cable runs. Furthermore, the camera uses the latest H.265 encoding protocol for highly efficient use of network bandwidth and storage space for video footage.
Possibilities
The IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE displays images in 4K Ultra HD 3840x2160 resolution. In very dark conditions, the camera can also activate its built-in IR illumination, allowing images to be viewed even in complete darkness (0 lux). The IR illumination has a range of up to 50 meters. The camera has a built-in automatic IR cut filter, making it a true day/night camera. It features 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), allowing it to handle complex lighting conditions such as backlighting or car headlights with exceptional ease. The camera has a fixed 2.8mm lens with a 112-degree horizontal angle of view.
The IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE features an Intelligent Video System (IVS) that enables smart detection of tripwires, intrusions, and missing/abandoned objects. Face detection is optional. Images can be stored on a Network Video Recorder (NVR), among other devices. The camera also has the ability to record internally to a microSD memory card up to 128GB. The camera has a built-in microphone. Dahua offers a free Dutch app for Apple iOS and Android. The camera has an internal web server that can be viewed and managed with a web browser. The IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE has an IP67 rating, making it ideal for outdoor use. For ease of installation, the camera can be powered via the network cable using Power over Ethernet (standard 802.3af PoE). PoE can be obtained through a PoE NVR, a PoE switch, or a PoE injector. The camera can also be powered with an optional 12V power adapter. Under the "Options" tab, you can specify whether an adapter is included. Suitable Dahua mounting brackets are also listed under "Options." The camera is adjustable in three axes, making it ideal for vertical wall mounting.
ePOE technology
The camera features ePOE, allowing for significantly longer network cable runs than the standard 100 meters for IP networks. The maximum distance from an ePOE camera to an ePOE switch or ePOE NVR for data and power is 800 meters (800m @ 10Mbps, 13W or 300m @ 100Mbps, 25.4W). The ePOE system is also ideal for analog-to-IP migration: IP video, audio, control, and power (4-in-1) over coaxial cable with the LR1002 ePoE to BNC adapter. ePOE technology allows for more flexible surveillance system design, improves reliability, and saves on construction and wiring costs.
