The Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-ZE is a Full HD 2-megapixel bullet Starlight Lite AI camera with a highly light-sensitive image sensor and 60-meter infrared night vision, 120dB WDR, (e)PoE power, and microSD recording for indoor and outdoor use. The camera features artificial intelligence technologies for improved image quality and smart features such as perimeter protection, face detection, smart sound detection, and people counting.
The camera belongs to the Dahua Wizmind S series and features an AI chip that supports intelligent features such as Smart Motion Detection 3.0 (SMD), which provides reliable motion detection by filtering out distracting objects like pets or leaves. Thanks to the AI, it also efficiently identifies people and vehicles in recorded video.
Possibilities
The Dahua IPC-HFW5241E-ZE delivers images in Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and features a motorized 2.7–13.5 mm varifocal lens. Its highly light-sensitive image sensor allows the camera to capture color images in near-total darkness (0.0007 lux). The automatic IR-cut filter switches to infrared mode in the dark for night vision up to 60 meters. Thanks to 120dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), the camera performs well in challenging lighting conditions, such as backlighting.

Footage can be stored on a Network Video Recorder (NVR) or locally on a microSD card up to 512GB (not included). The camera supports the free Dutch-language Dahua app for iOS and Android. Management and live viewing are possible via the built-in web server or via Dahua's free Video Management Software (VMS) on a computer.
With an IP67 rating, the camera is weatherproof and suitable for outdoor use. It is also vandal-resistant (IK10). Power can be supplied via a 12V adapter (optional) or PoE (802.3af) or ePoE via a PoE NVR, switch, or injector.
