The Dahua VTH5422HW is a 7-inch indoor monitor with a glass touchscreen color display. The monitor can be connected via a two-wire connection or a network cable and is designed for use with the Dahua IP video intercom system. Thanks to the two-wire connection, this model is ideal for replacing an old doorbell or intercom system, allowing the existing wiring to be used for both the audio/video signal and the power supply. This makes upgrading to a full IP video intercom system quick, easy, and cost-effective.
Possibilities
The VTH5422HW allows you to have audio and video conversations with someone at the outdoor station or with other indoor monitors. The monitor has an SD card slot for recording images and video messages on a microSD card. Door unlocking is possible via the monitor. Images from Dahua- or ONVIF-compatible IP cameras can also be viewed. The capacitive touchscreen is made of hard glass, like those found on modern smartphones. The monitor also features alarm inputs and an output for connecting alarm detectors and systems.
The system can be paired with the free Dahua SmartPSS PC and Mac software. Using the free Dahua smartphone app, you can view images from the outdoor station, conduct conversations, and open the door remotely.
Installation
The VTH5422HW connects via two wires to the Dahua VTNS2003B-2 intercom switch, which provides both data and power. Existing wiring from an old system can be reused, making installation simple and cost-effective. The VTNS2003B-2 is then connected to the network via a network cable.
The VTH5422HW can also be connected with a network cable and powered via PoE (802.3af). This indoor monitor is a surface-mounted model and comes with a mounting bracket.
