The Dahua IPC-HDW2441T-S is a Full HD 4-megapixel eyeball camera with a light-sensitive image sensor and 30-meter infrared night vision, a built-in microphone, 120dB WDR, PoE power, and microSD recording for indoor or outdoor use. The camera belongs to the 2-series of Dahua's WizSense series, which supports intelligent features such as perimeter protection and Smart Motion Detection Plus (SMD Plus). SMD provides reliable motion detection by filtering out objects. This minimizes false alarms caused by pets, leaves, light, and other distracting objects. The 2-series is a lighter version of the 3-series, and although this algorithm is less accurate than the current generation WizSense, it does offer SMD Plus and perimeter detection capabilities.
Possibilities
The Dahua IPC-HDW2441T-S displays images in Full HD 2688x1520 resolution. The camera has a fixed 2.8mm lens. Thanks to its light-sensitive image sensor, the camera delivers usable color images with minimal ambient light, even in near-total darkness (0.006 lux). The camera has a built-in automatic day/night IR cut filter and can also activate its built-in IR illumination in dark conditions, delivering razor-sharp images even in complete darkness (0 lux). The IR illumination has a very long range of 30 meters.
The camera features 120dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which allows it to handle complex lighting conditions such as backlight from the sun or car headlights with exceptional ease. Footage can be stored on a Network Video Recorder (NVR), among other devices. The camera also offers in-camera recording to a microSD card up to 256GB (not included). The camera also has a built-in microphone.
Dahua offers a free Dutch app for Apple iOS and Android. The camera has an internal web server that can be viewed and managed with a web browser. Free Video Management Software (VMS) for computers can be downloaded from the Dahua website. A link to the manufacturer's product page can be found under the "Documentation" tab.
The Dahua IPC-HDW2441T-S has an IP67 rating, making it ideal for outdoor use. For ease of installation, the camera can be powered via the network cable using Power over Ethernet (standard 802.3af PoE). PoE can be obtained through a PoE NVR, a PoE switch, or a PoE injector. The camera can also be powered with an optional 12V power adapter. Under the "Options" tab, you can specify whether an adapter and/or a Dahua mounting bracket should be included. The camera is adjustable in three axes, making it ideal for vertical wall mounting.
