The Dahua NVR5208-EI is a 4K Ultra HD Network Video Recorder (NVR) that can connect up to eight IP cameras over the network for recording and managing camera footage. Its extensive functionality, ease of installation, and high usability make the NVR ideal for use in homes, shops, and businesses.
This recorder does not have PoE inputs for wired camera connections. Cameras must therefore be added to the NVR via a PoE switch or network.
Possibilities
Up to eight IP cameras can be connected to the NVR via the network. The NVR can then be accessed via a web browser, Dahua video management software, and the free Dahua app for smartphones and tablets.
The NVR features an HDMI and VGA output with a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 (4K Ultra HD) for connecting to a standard TV to display images. There are also three USB ports for connecting devices such as a mouse.
The NVR5208-EI supports cameras up to 8 megapixels.
The WizSense series NVR supports various smart features of the cameras, including Perimeter Protection, Facial Recognition, Smart Motion Detection Plus (SMD), and Heat Map.
Because the NVR features AcuPick, the NVR can categorize stored footage under specific events and target types, allowing you to quickly search through the history of recorded footage.
The NVR also supports Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), which makes the NVR ideal for license plate registration in combination with a suitable camera.
To make optimal use of the smart functions, the appropriate camera should always be selected.
Hard drives
The Dahua NVR5208-EI supports two 3.5-inch hard drives with a capacity of up to 20 terabytes each. The NVR is shipped without a hard drive as standard. A hard drive can be ordered separately under the "Options" tab.
