The video intercom, also called an outside post, is placed on the outside of the building and allows visitors to contact the residents or staff inside.
In addition to making calls, this intercom can also unlock the door via the built-in relay output—ideal for managing a single gate or door. Thanks to integrated access control, users can identify themselves with cards or key fobs using MF technology (13.56 MHz).
The system uses IP technology and is powered via an Ethernet cable with PoE support, eliminating the need for additional wiring. The physical keypad makes it easy to call residents or units.
With an IP65 protection class, the device is suitable for outdoor use and is resistant to dust and rain.
The intercom offers advanced features such as a Wiegand connection (for external readers) and ONVIF support (for integration with CCTV recorders).
Through the Safire Smart app, the user can answer calls, open doors or view live camera feeds — from anywhere in the world.
