Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor – Wireless Curtain Motion Detector – White

The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White is an advanced wireless outdoor detector for the Ajax alarm system, developed specifically for perimeter protection. With two optical systems and four PIR sensors, it combines the latest technology for maximum reliability and a minimal risk of false alarms.

Features

The Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor White is a unique solution for protecting façades, entrances and windows. Thanks to four IR sensors with temperature compensation and the smart ELSA software algorithm, the system distinguishes between people, animals and other movement outdoors. This prevents needless alerts caused by pets, birds or plants moving in the wind, for example.

The motion detection distance is adjustable from 3 to 15 metres and can easily be adapted to your situation in the Ajax app. With a 90° horizontal detection angle and a smart field of view (horizontally adjustable by 3 degrees), you can define exactly which area you want to protect. The ‘Close-range detection’ function eliminates blind spots, ideal for protecting windows and entrance doors close to the detector.

The DualCurtain Outdoor also features anti-masking (tamper protection), so you are notified immediately if someone tries to block, paint over or sabotage the detector. Interference with the radio signal (jamming) is also reported immediately. The rugged IP54 housing makes the detector resistant to rain, dust, frost and heat (-25 °C to +60 °C).

The batteries last up to 4 years and are easy to replace. You manage all settings, notifications and automations via the Ajax app. Thanks to the wireless Jeweller protocol, the detector can operate up to 1,700 metres from the hub (line of sight; extendable with ReX/ReX 2 range extenders).
