Charge controllers

A charge controller is the link between your solar panel and battery. It makes sure the battery charges safely, prevents overcharging and extends the life of your whole off-grid system. At UMATECH you can choose efficient MPPT controllers from 10 A to 60 A as well as affordable PWM models for smaller setups.

Why MPPT? Maximum Power Point Tracking continuously analyses your panel's voltage curve and harvests up to 30% more energy than a standard PWM controller – especially on cold or cloudy days. Our top models support 12 V, 24 V and 48 V battery banks and accept PV voltages up to 150 V, so you can wire panels in series and minimise cable losses.

All controllers have multiple protections against reverse polarity, short circuit, high temperature and overvoltage. The built-in LCD or Bluetooth app shows charging current, panel voltage and battery status in real time. Integrated charging profiles for AGM, GEL, LiFePO4 and even custom "user" curves make fine-tuning easy.

Simply mount the controller in a well-ventilated place, connect the MC4 cables and battery clamps and you're done – no programming knowledge needed. For camping, boats or tiny houses we also supply waterproof IP67 controllers with Anderson plug for quick plug-and-play installation.
