Warranty

Warranty and repair
If your product unexpectedly develops a fault, you may be able to claim under warranty, or a repair may be possible. This page explains how warranty and repair work. To return a product, please send us a return request by email.

Warranty
We distinguish between two types of warranty: the statutory warranty and the additional warranty.

Statutory warranty
The statutory warranty means you are always entitled to a sound product. If a product is faulty, you are entitled to a free repair or a replacement, or we may choose to refund your money. Dutch law does not set a fixed statutory warranty period, because some products simply last longer than others.

You must be able to use a product without problems for a reasonable period. How long a product should last depends on the type of product and what you may expect from it, based for example on information provided by us or the manufacturer, the brand or the price.

You are not entitled to a free repair, a replacement or a refund if the fault was caused by you, or if you used the product normally and it has simply worn out.

Additional warranty (manufacturer's warranty)
An additional warranty, also called a manufacturer's warranty, comes on top of the statutory warranty you already have. Sometimes it is included free of charge, sometimes it can be purchased. It is issued by us or the manufacturer in a (warranty) statement or advertisement that sets out its conditions. If the manufacturer has issued an additional warranty and you want to claim under it, you can contact the manufacturer directly.

The independent websites below, from the Dutch government, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ConsuWijzer) and the European Consumer Centre (ECC), contain a lot of useful information about warranties (in Dutch).

Repair
If the fault is not covered by the warranty, you may still be able to have the product repaired at your own expense. Where a repair is at your expense, we will contact you about it before you send the product to us or the manufacturer or, if we already have your faulty product, before the repair is carried out.

Finally
For warranty purposes we make no distinction between purchases by consumers and by business customers. Products delivered outside the Netherlands are subject exclusively to Dutch warranty regulations.

All provisions that apply to the warranty can be found in our general terms and conditions.
