A power cut should never be the moment your cameras, NVR or router go down. With UPS batteries from UMATECH you keep critical equipment online effortlessly – from a few minutes for a clean shutdown to as much as eight hours of full operation. Looking to buy a UPS battery for your installation? Choose from AGM and LiFePO4 models from 7 to 100 Ah, suitable for cameras, alarm systems and network equipment.

We offer two types of storage:

  • VRLA AGM batteries: affordable, maintenance-free and optimised for short, high discharge currents; perfect for classic line-interactive UPS units. Capacities range from 7 Ah for home routers to 100 Ah for rack UPS units in server rooms.
  • LiFePO4 batteries & mini UPS: 60% lighter, up to 3,000 cycles and equipped with a smart BMS. The mini UPS supplies 12 V, 24 V and 5 V USB at the same time, keeping your IP camera, PoE switch and modem powered from one device.

All batteries are CE and UN38.3 certified, have overcharge, over-discharge and temperature protection, and come with faston or bolt terminals plus clear polarity stickers. Allow roughly 10 Ah per hour for a typical 4-channel NVR plus PoE switch.

Installation is easy: disconnect the old battery, fit the new one, tighten the terminals – done. Thanks to low self-discharge, LiFePO4 batteries stay ready for months in places like mobile camera towers or temporary site cabinets. A UPS backup battery is the silent insurance behind every installation. Combine it with a suitable AC/DC power supply or PoE power supply for a complete, reliable power solution. Order before 17:00 and, if in stock, we ship the same day.

Not sure what capacity you need for your video surveillance or alarm system? Send us a WhatsApp with your setup and we'll work out the right battery for you. With almost 15 years of experience, we know exactly which backup suits which installation.

Frequently asked questions about UPS batteries

What is a UPS battery and why do you need one?

A UPS battery is the battery inside an uninterruptible power supply that keeps your equipment running during a power cut. It bridges the time until mains power returns, so cameras, recorders and routers keep working or shut down cleanly.

Which UPS battery should I buy for my camera system?

That depends on your consumption. Allow about 10 Ah per hour for a 4-channel NVR with PoE switch. To bridge one hour, a 10 to 20 Ah battery is enough; for longer backup or more cameras choose a model up to 100 Ah.

What's the difference between AGM and LiFePO4?

An AGM battery is affordable, maintenance-free and suited to short, powerful discharges. A LiFePO4 battery is 60% lighter, lasts up to 3,000 cycles and has a long service life. For intensive or long-term use, LiFePO4 is often the smarter choice.

How long does a UPS backup battery last?

An AGM battery lasts 3 to 5 years on average in normal use. A LiFePO4 battery, with its 3,000 charge cycles, often lasts 8 to 10 years. Service life depends on temperature, depth of discharge and how often the battery is used.

Can I replace a UPS battery myself?

Yes, it's easy. Disconnect the old battery, fit the new one, tighten the terminals and check the polarity stickers. Our batteries have standard faston or bolt terminals. Stuck? Send us a photo via WhatsApp and we'll help.

Is a UPS battery suitable for solar or off-grid use?

Certainly. Many of our batteries also work well in a solar or off-grid setup, and thanks to low self-discharge they stay ready for months. For complete solutions, see our off-grid power range.
