Electric strikes for access control

An electric strike is a key component of modern access control. As soon as a badge, code or scan is accepted, the strike briefly releases the latch of the door lock, so the door can be opened quickly and safely without a key.

At UMATECH we supply strikes for interior and exterior doors, with or without monitoring. Choose from different voltages and mounting options, so there's always a suitable solution.

Types of electric strikes

• Fail-secure models: locked by default, release when powered. Ideal for offices, storage or apartments.
• Fail-safe models: unlocked by default, lock when powered. Suitable for escape routes and fire doors.

Suitable for almost any door and frame

Our electric strikes are designed to be widely usable. Adjustable lips and universal cut-out sizes mean they fit most door frames, including wooden, steel and aluminium doors.

Monitoring and feedback (optional)

Choose a strike with or without feedback contact. With feedback you can report the door status to your controller or software – handy if you want to see in the system whether a door is properly closed or open.

Voltage, connection and power consumption

Our strikes are available for 12 V or 24 V (DC/AC). Their low power consumption makes them easy to combine with:

• PoE systems
• intercom installations
• standard access control power supplies

Versions and mounting

For mounting and finishing we supply various models, such as:

• surface-mount frames
• narrow profiles
• stainless steel mortise models

Pre-drilled screw holes and a supplied drilling template make installation quick and easy. Combine the strike with our brackets and power supplies for a complete plug-and-play system.
