Ajax MotionProtect (Plus) – Wireless PIR Motion Detector – Pet Immune – Indoor

The Ajax MotionProtect and MotionProtect Plus are wireless indoor PIR motion detectors designed to reliably detect human movement without false alarms. Both use advanced signal processing and communicate with the Ajax alarm system via the secure Jeweller protocol.

The detectors are available in black and white and in two versions: standard and Plus (with an extra microwave sensor).

Reliable motion detection

MotionProtect detects human movement with a passive infrared (PIR) sensor with a range of about 12 m. It ignores small animals, draughts and temperature changes, keeping unwanted alerts to a minimum.

MotionProtect Plus adds a K-band microwave sensor that kicks in when the situation is unclear. This makes it especially suitable for rooms with a higher risk of false alarms, such as:

• rooms with air conditioning
• spaces with heaters or fireplaces
• environments with rapid temperature changes

Pet friendly

Both versions are pet immune and ignore animals up to about 20 kg and 50 cm tall, when correctly mounted.

Wireless and energy efficient

Thanks to efficient electronics and the Jeweller protocol, the detectors have a battery life of up to 5 years (depending on use and settings). Communication with the Ajax Hub is encrypted, with a range of up to 1,700 m in open field.
