The Dahua LR1002-1ET is the transmitter of an Ethernet over Coax kit that lets you connect IP cameras over existing coaxial cable. You install it next to the PoE switch: the network cable goes into the RJ45 port and the coax cable into the BNC connector. Over RG59 coax you get 100 Mbps up to 400 m and 10 Mbps up to 1000 m.
At the camera end, you fit the LR1002-1EC receiver, which connects the camera via a network cable again. PoE power from the switch is carried over the coax cable, so the camera needs no separate power supply. How much power arrives depends on the distance: 21 W at 48 V over 100 m, and still 4 W over 1000 m. The transmitter supports auto MDI/MDIX, has surge protection (4 kV) and consumes less than 2 W.
