The Hikvision DS-3E0505P-E is a compact unmanaged Gigabit PoE switch from the Pro Series with four PoE ports and one Gigabit RJ45 uplink. It is ideal for building a small camera system: you power up to four IP cameras or other PoE devices over the network cable and connect the uplink to your recorder or network. Each port delivers up to 30 W (IEEE 802.3af/at), with a total PoE budget of 60 W.
The switch works straight out of the box, with no configuration required. All ports are 10/100/1000 Mbps, full duplex, with automatic MDI/MDI-X. Switching capacity is 10 Gbps with a forwarding rate of 7.44 Mpps, and store-and-forward switching ensures stable throughput. The PoE ports have 6 kV surge protection. The metal housing is fanless and therefore silent, and measures just 105 × 27.6 × 83.1 mm. The switch is powered by a 48 V DC adapter.
