UniFi Access G3 Reader – reliable access control for indoor and outdoor use

The UniFi Access G3 Reader combines advanced technology with a robust design, ideal for both commercial and residential applications. With compact dimensions of 93 x 40 x 36.5 mm and a weight of just 82 g, this access reader is easy to install and blends into any environment.

Durable design and installation
The housing is made of polycarbonate and glass, with mounting parts in aluminium alloy, and can be mounted either on the wall or on a gang box. With IP55 weather resistance, the G3 Reader is suitable for outdoor use, even in demanding weather conditions.

Connectivity and network
The reader has a 10/100 MbE RJ45 port, supports BLE 4.1 and NFC, and is powered via PoE (48 V DC, max. 5 W). Both UL 294 power-limited Class 2 PSUs and UL 60950-1/62368-1 LPS/PS2 PSUs are supported. For optimal performance, Cat5e patch cables (min. 26 AWG, horizontal/riser 24 AWG) are recommended.

NFC functionality
The NFC reader operates at 13.56 MHz with a read range of less than 30 mm. Supported technologies include ISO/IEC 14443A/B, 15693, 18092, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire, Sony FeliCa™ (ID only) and NFC Forum tags T1T to T5T.

Security and reliability
The G3 Reader features ESD/EMP protection (air: ±15 kV, contact: ±8 kV), a proximity sensor, a status LED and a factory reset button. UL 294 levels are rated at Level I for destructive attack, line security, endurance and standby power, and the reader complies with CAN/ULC-60839-11-1 Grade I and UL 294.

Environment and performance
The reader operates reliably at temperatures from -30 to 45 °C and a relative humidity of 5–90% (non-condensing). Audio signals are provided by an 8 ohm, 0.7 W speaker.
