The UniFi U6+ is a powerful WiFi 6 (802.11ax) access point designed for reliable wireless connectivity in small businesses and modern homes. Thanks to its compact design and high throughput, it delivers excellent performance while taking up minimal installation space.

Dimensions and housing
The U6+ measures 160 mm in diameter and 33 mm in height. It weighs 338 g without the bracket and 413 g with the bracket. The housing is made of polycarbonate and aluminium, while the mounting materials are ABS and SGCC steel, a combination that ensures durability and secure mounting.

Hardware specifications
The access point has one Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port for network connection and management via Ethernet. It is powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) with a supported voltage range of 44–57 V DC and a maximum power consumption of only 9 W.
The U6+ operates within a temperature range of -30 to 60 °C and a humidity range of 5–95% (non-condensing). LED indicators (white/blue) show the status, and a reset button is provided for restoring factory settings.
Certifications: CE, FCC, IC.

Wireless performance
The UniFi U6+ supports dual-band WiFi in a 2x2 MIMO configuration:

  • 2.4 GHz: 573.5 Mbps with 3 dBi antenna gain
  • 5 GHz: 2402 Mbps with 5.4 dBi antenna gain
Maximum transmit power is 23 dBm on both bands, ensuring stable coverage and high speeds.

Software and security
The U6+ supports the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax WiFi standards (WiFi 4/5/6) and advanced security with WPA-PSK and WPA-Enterprise (WPA/WPA2/WPA3). Up to 8 BSSIDs per radio can be configured, with support for VLAN (802.1Q) and guest traffic isolation. The access point can serve more than 300 concurrent clients.
Management is done through the UniFi Network application (v7.3.76 or later), which lets you configure and monitor your network centrally.

Summary
The UniFi U6+ combines a compact design, efficient PoE power and strong WiFi 6 performance. Ideal if you are looking for a reliable, scalable and secure wireless solution within the UniFi ecosystem.
