Tags and cards
With RFID tags and access cards you give residents, staff or guests easy and secure access. No keys or codes needed – just hold the tag or card in front of the reader and the door opens. At UMATECH you'll find a wide range of tags, key fobs and cards in different frequencies and designs.
An RFID card or tag works without direct contact: as soon as you hold it near the reader, the system recognises the unique chip and unlocks the door. Whether you need RFID cards for a home, office or commercial building, choose from single RFID cards, key fobs and complete packages for RFID access control installations.
Our RFID credentials are available for:
- 13.56 MHz (MIFARE / DESFire) – high security, widely used in new builds and cloud systems
- 125 kHz – ideal for simple standalone systems
- Combi tags – with both NFC and RFID chip for universal compatibility
Every item has a unique ID and works with virtually all access systems, intercoms and controllers. Choose from:
- Key fob tags in plastic or metal
- PVC cards, plain or personalised with your logo
- Water and impact-resistant versions for construction, hospitality or rentals
We supply RFID tags for every installation, from a single door to a complete tag access system for an office building, as well as complete sets with RFID/NFC readers, controllers and cards that work together straight away.
Colour coding or engraving makes managing users quick and clear. Many cards are rewritable or programmable via a USB card reader or mobile device. Combine them easily with an RFID reader or keypad with RFID function.
Looking for access cards for a hotel, sports club or office? You can order RFID cards per 10, per 100 or as a premium version with serial number and metal finish. Need just one tag for a new user or to replace a lost one? We supply small quantities too – and it's always wise to keep a few spares in stock. See also our electric locks to complete your access setup.
Order before 17:00 and, if in stock, we ship the same day – secure access with one tap or scan from tomorrow.
Frequently asked questions about RFID cards and tags
What's the difference between an RFID card and an NFC card?
Basic RFID usually works at 125 kHz, NFC at 13.56 MHz. NFC is a specific form of RFID with higher security and two-way communication between card and reader. For modern access control and cloud systems, choose NFC (MIFARE or DESFire). For simple standalone systems, a 125 kHz RFID card is enough.
Which frequency do I need: 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz?
That depends on your reader. A 125 kHz reader only works with 125 kHz tags; a 13.56 MHz reader only with MIFARE or NFC. Check the type on your reader or in the manual before ordering. Not sure? Send us a photo of your reader via WhatsApp and we'll take a look.
Can an RFID card be copied?
Simple 125 kHz cards can be copied with an inexpensive duplicator, and MIFARE Classic sometimes too – but MIFARE DESFire EV3 cannot: these cards are encrypted and can't be duplicated. For secure access, always choose DESFire or a comparable encrypted standard.
Does every RFID card work with every reader?
No, that depends on frequency and protocol. A 125 kHz reader can't read a 13.56 MHz card and vice versa, and within the same frequency protocols differ, such as EM4100 or MIFARE. Always check that the card matches your reader before ordering in larger quantities.
How do I program a new RFID tag or card?
In most access control systems you add a new tag via the management menu or app: hold the tag to the reader, register it under a user name and assign the right access rights. With standalone keypads you often use a master tag to enrol new users.
What should I do if a user loses their tag?
Block the lost tag immediately in your access system via the software or app. It will no longer work, even if found later. Then give the user a new tag and link it to their account. Always keep a few spare tags in stock for this.
Which RFID card suits my existing system?
First check your reader's frequency and protocol. Hikvision, Dahua and Anviz systems usually work with MIFARE at 13.56 MHz. Read our buying guides or send us your model number via WhatsApp for reliable advice.
