This smart, compact opening detector is part of the Ajax Baseline alarm system and reliably protects doors and windows. The magnetic contact detects an opening instantly and reports it to the hub, with a wireless range of up to 1200 m in open field. It mounts on virtually any type of door, including metal.
The Ajax DoorProtect is a wireless magnetic contact that monitors a door or window without running cables. Every opening shows up instantly in the Ajax app, and it fits front doors, back doors, sliding doors or casement windows – the first line of defence of your Ajax alarm system.
The detector consists of two parts (sensor and magnet) and comes with two magnets for flexible installation: a large one for gaps up to 2 cm and a small one for gaps up to 1 cm. The battery is pre-installed and lasts a long time (up to 5–7 years, depending on use and model). The device is protected against tampering, manipulation and jamming.
The Plus version adds shock and tilt detection: it registers impacts, loud bangs and changes in vertical angle, so windows left in tilt position are monitored too. It also lets you connect a wired NC detector from another manufacturer.
The standard DoorProtect is a magnetic contact that detects openings. The Plus adds a shock sensor and tilt detection – ideal for garage doors, tilt windows and places where you want to catch break-in attempts early. Both work with the same Ajax hub.
In the free Ajax app you adjust settings, receive real-time alerts about alarms and events and check the status of all connected devices. Camera integration enables live video streams. The app is intuitive and supports multiple users and devices.
