Buy complete off-grid solar kits

An off-grid solar kit is a complete package of solar panels, battery, charge controller and inverter that lets you generate and store energy independently of the grid. At UMATECH you'll find complete off-grid kits for garden offices, tiny houses, campers or remote locations, put together by specialists with almost 15 years of experience in technical installations.

Want to become energy-independent in one go without hunting for separate parts? Choose UMATECH's complete off-grid kits. Every kit contains everything you need: high-efficiency solar panels, a smart MPPT charge controller, a pure sine wave inverter and a matching battery (AGM or LiFePO4, depending on the package).

  • Start 500 Wh kit – ideal for weekend camping; 120 W foldable panel, 20 A MPPT and compact power station with USB-C and 230 V socket.
  • Comfort 2 kWh kit – perfect for a tiny house or garden office; two 200 W panels, 40 A MPPT, 2 kWh LiFePO4 battery and 2,000 W inverter.
  • Pro 5 kWh kit – for an off-grid home or food truck; 600 W glass-glass panels, 60 A smart MPPT, 5 kWh expandable LiFePO4 battery plus 3,000 W pure sine wave inverter with remote control.

All kits come with pre-crimped MC4 cables, fuses, fixings and a clear installation guide. Connect the panels, link battery and inverter, and within an hour you have your own mini power plant. The modular design lets you add panels or batteries later, and the Bluetooth app shows charge status, consumption and remaining autonomy wherever you are.

Order before 17:00 and we ship the same day – so your off-grid adventure can start tomorrow.

Which off-grid kit suits your situation?

The right kit depends on your consumption and where you'll use it. A small 50 W panel with battery is enough to power a security camera or LED lighting on a remote site. For a garden shed where you occasionally charge tools, a 100–200 W kit with a 20 Ah battery will do.

Want to run 230 V appliances such as a fridge or coffee machine? Then you need a kit with a pure sine wave inverter that converts 12 V or 24 V DC into 230 V AC. Our kits include one as standard, so you can plug in ordinary appliances.

For a tiny house or holiday cabin we recommend at least 400 W of panel power and a 2 kWh LiFePO4 battery (see also Bluetti). That gives enough reserve on cloudy days for lighting, charging devices and running a 4G router for internet.

What's in a complete off-grid kit?

  • Solar panels: mono or polycrystalline, rigid or flexible. They capture sunlight and convert it into DC power.
  • Charge controller (MPPT or PWM): protects the battery from overcharging and gets maximum yield from your panels.
  • Battery (AGM or LiFePO4): stores the energy, giving you power at night and in cloudy weather.
  • Inverter: converts 12 V or 24 V DC into 230 V AC for household appliances.
  • Cabling and connection material: MC4 connectors, fuses and mounting brackets. With plug-in kits you simply plug in.

Because all components are supplied as one package, you know everything is compatible – no wiring mistakes, maximum yield.

Off-grid energy for every application

Off-grid energy isn't just for remote cabins. Think of a solar battery kit for security cameras on a building site, a solar panel with battery for your camper, or a system that powers your entire home office. Small kits are ideal for a wireless alarm system or IP camera at a location without mains power; for larger applications see our higher-capacity kits with expandable LiFePO4 batteries.

Frequently asked questions about off-grid solar

What is an off-grid solar kit?

A complete package for generating and storing electricity independently of the grid: solar panels, charge controller, battery and usually an inverter, all matched so you can start straight away.

Can I use a solar battery kit for my garden shed?

Yes. For lighting and charging small devices a 50–100 W kit is enough. To also run a fridge or power tools, choose at least 200 W with a 230 V inverter.

What's the difference between off-grid and on-grid?

An off-grid kit works completely independently, storing energy in its own battery. An on-grid system is connected to the mains and feeds surplus power back. Off-grid is the right choice where there's no grid connection, such as a garden shed, camper or remote site.

How many solar panels do I need for a tiny house?

We recommend at least 400 W of panel power with a LiFePO4 battery of 2 kWh or more – enough for lighting, a fridge, phone chargers and a laptop. For higher consumption, simply add panels and batteries.

Can I expand an off-grid system later?

Yes, all our off-grid kits are modular. Add extra panels, batteries or a more powerful inverter later, so your system grows with your energy needs.

Does a 230 V kit deliver enough power for household appliances?

That depends on capacity and consumption. A kit with a 2,000 W inverter can run a fridge, lighting and small appliances at the same time. Always check the total wattage of your appliances and choose enough inverter capacity and storage.

How long does the battery last?

An AGM battery lasts 3 to 5 years on average with daily use. A LiFePO4 battery achieves 2,000 to 5,000 cycles, or 7 to 15 years – lighter, more efficient and cheaper in the long run.

What does a complete off-grid system cost?

A compact 50 W kit with a small battery starts at around €250. Larger systems with inverter and battery for a tiny house or home cost between €1,500 and €3,000. Browse our range or ask for advice for a custom calculation.
